In February this year, the investment group Kaprain acquired the media group MAFRA, along with the Pardubice-based chemical company Synthesia. While Synthesia was swiftly integrated into Kaprain’s existing chemical division, the new owner is still familiarizing itself with the operations of the media group. As of 11 June 2024, the new owner appointed additional members to the Supervisory Board of the entire media group.
“We are currently analysing the efficiency and growth potential of both the individual entities and the media group as a whole. A strong supervisory board is a key factor in the successful development of MAFRA. That’s why it includes experts in communication and business, as well as an employee representative,” said Marcel Dostal, CEO of Kaprain Group.
MAFRA’s Supervisory Board now consists of its Chairman Jakub Dlouhý and Members Jan Dienstl, Pavel Lupínek and Martin Kudera.
Jakub Dlouhý (Chairman of the Supervisory Board) is the Marketing Director of Kaprain Group and owner of the marketing and communication group Kotelna55. He has a historical connection to the launch of Rádio Impuls.
Jan Dienstl (Member of the Supervisory Board) brings a deep understanding of MAFRA to the Supervisory Board. He previously engaged with the former owner on behalf of another potential buyer during discussions about a possible acquisition.
Pavel Lupínek (Member of the Supervisory Board), an experienced lawyer with a long tenure at Kaprain Group, will contribute extensive legal and business expertise to the Supervisory Board.
Martin Kudera (Member of the Supervisory Board) is the Head of Production at MAFRA. He represents the interests of employees on the Supervisory Board. He has been with MAFRA since 1993.
No further information will be provided by the representatives of MAFRA Group and Kaprain Group at the moment.
