SK Olomouc Sigma MŽ, the majority shareholder of Sigma Olomouc, has received an offer to begin negotiations for the sale of the club from the Czech investment group Kaprain. The organization’s executive committee approved this offer at its meeting on Monday, 23 September. The first outcome of the negotiations is expected to be an indicative offer presented by Kaprain.
Kaprain Group has extensive experience supporting both professional and youth sports. Since 2019, it has owned the country’s most iconic ice hockey club, HC Sparta Praha. Additionally, it owns the HC Letci Letňany hockey club and Letňany and Kateřinky Ice Arenas, two arenas with four ice rinks operating year-round. Kaprain Group’s ice rinks are used by several hundred young ice hockey players, as well as figure skaters, schools and members of the public, to train and practise. Kaprain also owns the most modern golf course in the country, Oaks Prague.
