HC Letci Letňany is a minor league hockey club founded in 2001 and supported by the KAPRAIN investment group. It was founded by brothers František and Vojtěch Kučera. The former is a gold medalist at the Nagano Olympics, while the latter is currently the head of European scouting for the Vegas Golden Knights in the NHL. Letňany is famous for raising talent and national team players. Among the club’s successful offspring is Jakub Vrana, who played in the NHL for Washington in 2016/17 and then celebrated the Stanley Cup with the Capitals in 2018. The club has had countless representatives in the youth national team selections throughout its history, with four Flyers alumni on the roster during the U20 World Championship in 2021. The club’s current achievements include a silver medal position in the 2022/23 season.
