The Spartan Blood charity project, which we got involved with through the Kaprain Endowment Fund, is collecting one award after another. Now, it has added another significant trophy to its previous awards, specifically a special award from the Association of Social Responsibility and the Czech Ministry of Health, making it one of the winners of the 2025 Giving Tuesday Awards.
The award ceremony was held in the Minorite Friary of St. James, where a total of eight projects that best epitomised what it means to be generous were singled out. The awards were presented on the 10thanniversary of Giving Tuesday, a global movement promoting generosity and good deeds.
In the case of Spartan Blood, the project was recognised for motivating the public to donate blood for 19 years now. Last year, a total of 1,356 litres of blood were taken from 3,014 donors (423 of whom were first-time donors), with a total of 3,255 people taking part in the event. The project also significantly helped to increase the number of people on the bone marrow donor registry. These are fantastic results.
Congratulations.
